I honour you for standing in your power by reading this today. I admire your courage in taking action to continue moving forward no matter how uncomfortable that may be in this moment. I thank you, not only for taking responsibility for your life and wellbeing but for being apart of the collective movement to break the silent global epidemic that is sexual violence.


Why am I so Passionate About This Work?

At 7 years old, I experienced sexual adversity. I found safety in silence for 14 years until March 2017 when the ending of a close relationship triggered PTSD and the flashbacks began flooding in. I felt wounded, lost and alone. The fear and sadness running through me heightened as the reality of sexual violence being a silent global epidemic sunk in. I browsed through the limited information and resources available to me both online and within my community. This void in support inspired the establishment of Empower the Powerful in March 2018.

Through this platform lies a passion for breaking the silence and stigma around sexual trauma. In addition to the deep desire to open up the conversation surrounding mental illness and the impact PTSD, anxiety and depression can have on our holistic wellbeing.

I have an unwavering desire and intention to help survivors of sexual trauma as well as people suffering from depression and anxiety to reclaim their power, connect with their inner strength & to reach their wildest dreams.

  • We have been silenced by the abusers & assaulters out of shame and fear
  • We have been silenced by the constraints and pressures of the societies we have grown up in
  • We have been silenced out of love and protection for our families and friends who’s heart may break to hear about our experience

It is possible to take our pain and use it as power. I am here to stand next to you throughout this journey.

At times, the only way to move forward in life is to take a leap of faith. By working together, I wish to support you in turning your source of shame and pain into your source of super strength.

I have complied the greatest healing concepts and modalities that assisted me throughout my healing journey. In partnership, Survivor to Thriver can support you in acknowledging, releasing, connecting, growing and evolving throughout your healing journey from sexual trauma. It will assist you in reclaiming your power and igniting your light.

You will release shame, guilt, anger, sadness and resentment while feeling into happiness, joy, connection, growth, and support. You will gain a better understanding behind the ‘why’ of mistakes, regrets and adverse experiences in the past. You will gain clarity around the effects this trauma has had on your mind, body, spirit and relationships.

You are worthy of this healing experience, this is for you and YOU only.

The first step of acknowledgment can often be the hardest. Moving through the questioning and doubt if it really happened? Asking yourself if you encouraged it and if you could have stopped what happened if you had of done something differently.

It’s never going to be comfortable to acknowledge the violation, disrespect, pain and suffering of what you have been through.

However, through survivor to thriver we have set out to spread empowerment.   We will be acknowledging how that we can use the strength and inner power gained from this experience to chase your wildest dreams living a life that you are inspired to get out of bed every-single-day.

Throughout step one we will acknowledge: 

  • That within you lies absolute super power strength. This experience has given you resilience beyond measure and unimaginable power down to your core
  • The trauma that you have been through, and the impact it has had on your holistic wellbeing (Socially, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually)
  • Self enquiry exercises exploring the individual effects that your experience has played out in your life, consciously and subconsciously
  • Learn how to observe your thoughts and feelings to reclaim the power that your mind has over your heart and spirit
  • Learning about how our thoughts and feelings determines our challenges testing your habits trapping you in a negative mind set, such as complaining, judging and displacing blame
  • The shame, embarrassment and guilt that you may hold around this sexual trauma does NOT belong to you. I know it may feel like it does, but it belongs to the person who did this to you

Release

  • We will identify the fighter within you, looking at how we can shift from surviving and fighting into absolutely THRIVING in this world.

Connect

  • The trauma that you have been through, and the impact it has had on your holistic wellbeing (Socially, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually)
